Recently converted from a disused leisure club, Backstage is now a live music venue holding 120 people, complete with its own separate bar.
Raul Malo, Albert Lee, Strawbs, David Knopfler, Ian McLagan, Terry Reid, Rodney Crowell have all played at Backstage.
It brings quality music out of Glasgow and Edinburgh and proves that with vision a new niche market can be created in the autumn, winter and spring periods. Backstage also hosts the three week long festival called Fifestock, creating a boost not only to the hotel but to the local area as well.
There is also a vast amount of music memorabilia displayed in the bar and gig room which has to be one of the best displays in the UK.

A fantastic hotel and leisure complex but the absolute icing on the cake is the music venue which was created out of the old swimming pool area. Some great acts are hosted there. They include Curved Air, Toyah, John Parr, Electric Strawbs, Rodney Crowell and many more. A must for a visit.

It has been transformed into one of the most talked-about venues for amazing music and musicians.
The atmosphere is electric and the drink and food is amazing. The staff are lovely and smiley and David Mundell who hosts the gigs is an expert in his field with a true passion for music.

Fabulous venue, great pub, friendly staff. Fab music, also access to quality food and accomodation. Good choice of drink and really nice wine for my wife! I am regularly updated via e-mail of events and special offers.
