Iain Matthews with Egbert Derix Backstage

The new Iain Matthews & Egbert Derix recording, 'In the now' Will be released on Universal's jazz label, Verve, in the Spring of 2012.
Nine new tracks, with solid jazzy leanings. Two featuring Egbert's arrangements for string quartet. Another milestone for Iain. Easily his best offering to date and a first major label release in over thirty years.
In 1967 Matthews became a founder member of the British folk rock band, Fairport Convention, staying with the group for almost 2 years.
